Its not bad, although its up to you how to put together a song, i would suggest making a heavier beat after your rise. Its usually good to build up tension and then release it with a heavy sound, but since this was mostly a test for the riser you cant really complain. Btw, if you did this in FL Studio its really easy to do a riser with the built in generators. All you need to do is use the glide tool. Keep working at it, the song otherwise is quite concrete, the only other thing i would suggest is adding variations to drum beats. :)

You see, I could use the FL presets such as Sytrus to make an easy riser with glides, but when you use a vst that isnt made by FL then you cannot use the glide tool. In this song I used Nexus. I cant complain with variation in drum beats... I realize it gets repetitive but at the same time, I wanted the beat to be consistent so I kept it the same throughout the song. Thanks for your review!

Its a good start, interesting that there is no snare yet it sounds quite full. I'm curious to see the end result. BTW, I'm the same when it comes to making songs, start em all, finish none xD

Good Luck!

Thanks. It's going to take me a while to finish this song simply because I'm stuck. The only way for me to be unstuck is to give myself some time and space away from it so I can relive it as a new experience, then inspiration will strike again and I'll know what to add.

I love your intros man, real dope. I followed you soindcloud btw, cheers!

WilliamSSA responds:

thanks dude really appreciate it!

Love the intro and piano, song's smooth, i like the more calm dub step like this. BTW thx for the feedback on Trepidation. :)

WilliamSSA responds:

thanks ;) and welcome

This is really cool, im curious what vst you use for the wobble/synth. Good work btw :)

I-Saved-The-World responds:

The wobbly basses are done using a free to download vst called tbmonomate, run through effects like bitcrusher, retrigger, and a gate. Another good to use free vst to try is dblue Glitch. you can easily create some really cool sounding effects with it.
Goodluck! and thanks for listening

This is awesome! The intro right of the bat got me hooked. Love the beat in it, just makes you wanna move.

This is really good! Its got a nice contrast between hard and calm verses :)
